Representation for Property Owners, Developers and Not-for-Profit Entities

Our services in this area include representing property owners and developers in the submission of applications for subdivisions, use and area variances, special permits, requests for zone changes, exterior design review, environmental review under the New York State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) and all other aspects of the land use approval process. Our attorneys regularly represent clients before all types of city, town and village zoning and planning boards, and we routinely represent clients in land use litigation involving subdivisions and site plans, variances, conditional use approvals, and enforcement and violations of municipal zoning and fire code laws. Our attorneys are also intimately familiar with the laws that provide real property tax exemptions to not-for-profit entities, and we routinely assist our not-for-profit clients in maintaining these exemptions.
