Michael B. Weiss is a partner in the firm’s Commercial Litigation department. His practice includes the representation of businesses, not-for-profits, real estate owners, municipalities and individuals in complex commercial disputes, employment litigation, construction litigation and litigation involving business and general torts, insurance and civil rights. Michael regularly represents the firm’s clients in cases involving breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, mechanic’s liens, claims of discrimination, wrongful termination and sexual harassment.
His caseload also includes matters involving the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, Title IX, the New York State Human Rights Law, the New York City Human Rights Law, the New York Labor Law, the New York Lien Law, the New York Insurance Law and the New York Real Property Tax Law.
Michael appears on behalf of the firm’s clients in federal and state courts, before federal, state and local administrative agencies, and in mediation and arbitration proceedings.
Michael also has extensive experience litigating matters involving transportation liability, insurance law, risk transfer, general liability, labor law, products liability and property damage.
