Higher Education Practice Group Co-Chair Dina Vespia Quoted in Inside Higher Ed

March 27, 2024

Higher Education Practice Group Co-Chair Dina Vespia was recently quoted in an Inside Higher Ed article titled “Making College Mergers Easier in New York.” The article discusses the proposed amendment by the New York State Education Department to the Rules of the Board of Regents that would provide a path for colleges and universities in New York State to engage in strategic transactions with out-of-state institutions. Cullen and Dykman's Higher Education Practice Group published a legal alert on this proposed amendment in January and will continue to provide updates as to any developments.

Cullen and Dykman LLP’s Higher Education Practice Group is here to assist you in connection with evaluating and carrying out a variety of strategic transactions, including mergers, consolidations, and sole membership structures. If you have questions regarding any aspect of higher education law and/or whether this proposed new rule may impact or create opportunities for your institution, please feel free to contact Dina Vespia, Kevin P. McDonough, or Deirdre Mitacek.
