Cullen and Dykman Welcomes Nishana Weerasooriya as Of Counsel in General Liability, Tort, and Insurance Defense Department

Uniondale, New York – Cullen and Dykman LLP is pleased to announce the addition of Nishana Weerasooriya as Of Counsel in the firm’s General Liability, Tort, and Insurance Defense department. She brings extensive experience in personal injury, property damage, and complex tort disputes, along with strong litigation skills honed during her time as a prosecutor.

Before joining the firm, Nishana led legal and policy research teams in Sri Lanka, advising government officials, business leaders, and international stakeholders on governance, regulatory compliance, and human rights reforms. Her international experience and expertise in corporate governance and cross-border compliance provide valuable insights for clients facing multifaceted legal challenges.

Nishana earned her J.D. from Temple University Beasley School of Law and her MPA and B.A. from Clark University. She is admitted to practice in New York.
