Nishana Weerasooriya is an Of Counsel in the firm’s General Liability, Tort and Insurance Defense department. She assists clients in a wide range of liability claims, including personal injury, property damage, and complex tort disputes. As a former prosecutor, she brings litigation and investigative skills to handle high-stakes cases and navigate complex situations for effective representation.
Before joining Cullen and Dykman, Nishana led legal and policy research teams in Sri Lanka, advising government officials, business leaders, and international stakeholders on governance, regulatory compliance, and human rights reforms. She has handled matters involving corporate governance, intellectual property, and cross-border compliance, providing clients with practical, business-focused legal strategies. Her international experience and ability to navigate complex legal landscapes make her an asset to clients dealing with multifaceted legal challenges.
