Partner Emeritus Paul Michels Accepts The Bishop’s Humanitarian Award

Cullen and Dykman Partner Emeritus Paul Michels was recently honored with the Bishop's Humanitarian Award at the 2026 Bishop’s Humanitarian Award Dinner benefiting Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens.

During his 44-year career at Cullen and Dykman, Paul worked in our Financial Institutions and Lending department, where he represented financial institutions, not-for-profit organizations, real estate developers, educational institutions, and public utilities in a broad range of commercial lending and real estate matters.

Beyond his legal practice, Paul has demonstrated a commitment to his community through his involvement with the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, Catholic Migration Services of the Diocese of Brooklyn and Cardinal McCloskey Community Services of the Archdiocese of New York. He is also a recipient of the St. Thomas More Award, recognizing his longstanding dedication to service and the community.
