Kaitlyn McGuire Obtains Summary Judgment for Supermarket Client in Premises Liability Lawsuit
March 25, 2026Kaitlyn McGuire successfully obtained summary judgment dismissing the plaintiff’s complaint against the firm’s Supermarket client in a premises liability lawsuit.
The plaintiff alleged that he was injured after slipping on a wet painted line in a parking lot following rainfall. Using expert analysis, Kaitlyn McGuire established that the condition at issue was not dangerous or defective and that the surface was slip resistant and not inherently hazardous.
The Court agreed that the defendant met its burden on summary judgment and that the plaintiff failed to raise a triable issue of fact in opposition. As a result, the complaint was dismissed in its entirety.
