Joseph D. Simon to Speak at the New York Bankers Association 2019 Technology, Compliance and Risk Management Forum

Joseph D. Simon, a partner in the firm’s Financial Institution Regulatory area, will be a speaker at the New York Bankers Association 2019 Technology, Compliance and Risk Management Forum. Mr. Simon will be making a presentation entitled “Restraining Notices, Information Subpoenas and Levies: The Top 10 Compliance Issues Facing Banks.” The Forum is May 13-15 in Tarrytown New York, and Mr. Simon’s presentation will be on May 14that 2:30 pm. Mr. Simon has been a presenter at previous seminars sponsored by the New York Bankers Association, as well as the NJBankers Association, and the Long Island Bank Compliance Association. He has also presented national continuing legal education webinars on several subjects of interest to financial institutions. Mr. Simon is a co-author of the article “Cybersecurity Regulation for Financial Services Companies: New York Leads the Way” in the Summer, 2017 edition of the Journal of Taxation and Regulation of Financial Services Companies. He is also the author of “CFPB Mortgage Rules Under the Dodd-Frank Act,” a volume of Bloomberg BNA’s Banking Portfolio Series. Mr. Simon is a two-time recipient of a JD Supra Reader’s Choice Award for being one of the top authors in the country with respect to readership and engagement in the area of Banking/Financial Services.
