Associate Ryan Spitz Wins Dismissal in Personal Injury Case Against Firm’s Supermarket Client
April 1, 2026Associate Ryan Spitz successfully obtained summary judgment dismissing the plaintiff’s complaint against the firm’s Supermarket client in a premises liability lawsuit.
The plaintiff alleged that she was injured after falling due to a pothole in the adjacent parking lot, which had been obscured due to recent snowfall. Through his analysis, Ryan Spitz proved that the condition at issue was not our client's responsibility, as our client didn’t own, operate or make special use of the parking lot.
The Court agreed that the defendant therefore bore no liability for the parking lot condition or the alleged incident. As a result, the complaint and all cross-claims were dismissed in their entirety.
