Julie is an Associate in the firm’s Commercial Litigation department. She focuses her practice on contract-based business disputes and commercial real estate litigation, including shareholder/partnership disputes, business torts, derivative actions, business dissolution disputes, unfair competition claims, deceptive practices and commercial fraud actions, and residential and commercial lease disputes. She represents large and small businesses, banking and financial institutions, not-for-profit corporations, colleges and universities, and religious corporations. Julie also defends businesses against claims made by government agencies on a local and state level, and represents contractors, designers, and architects in complex construction contract disputes, with a particular focus on delay damages.

While in law school, Julie served as Editor-in-Chief of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel Law Journal.

Representative Experience

  • Secured a $7.7 million judgment after a bench trial in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on behalf of a global apparel supplier, successfully piercing the corporate veil to hold an importer LLC and its two members jointly and severally liable, prevailing on two fraudulent-transfer claims, and defeating all counterclaims.
