Partner, Dina Vespia Recognized as 2021 Honoree at LIBN’s Diversity in Business Awards
March 5, 2021Dina Vespia, Partner and Chair of Cullen and Dykman’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee, was recognized as an honoree at the 2021 LIBN's Diversity in Business Awards. The ceremony was held virtually on March 2nd.
The Diversity in Business Awards highlights the outstanding achievements of professionals of diverse backgrounds and abilities, and those who actively support the growth of diversity and equality in our community, according to LIBN. Click here to watch Dina’s segment in the virtual program.
“To me, diversity means having a wide variety of perspectives--in terms of race, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, but not only those--also in terms of life experiences,” Dina said. “Inclusion is seeing the value in these perspectives and actively putting them to use. It’s about having the willingness to listen to and learn from distinct points of view, which I believe is a more thoughtful, comprehensive, and better way to serve our clients.
In addition to her practice, Dina serves in a number of civic capacities which allow her to leverage her professional interests to assist the community. Dina has lead the firm in its efforts to create a more inclusive work environment for all. As Chair, Dina works with the firm’s Executive and Hiring Committees to attract and retain diverse attorneys at all levels. Under Dina’s leadership, Cullen and Dykman has launched and participated in fellowship programs aimed at promoting diversity and inclusion. Her efforts have helped the firm honor its commitment to help address systemic racism and lack of diversity in the legal sector.
