Nnenna Onwuchekwa is an Associate in the firm’s Banking and Financial Services department.

Prior to joining the firm as an Associate, she served as a Summer Associate at Cullen and Dykman LLP during her first and second summers of law school.

While attending the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, Nnenna served as a student attorney in Hofstra Law’s Community and Economic Development Clinic, where she provided transactional legal services to nonprofit organizations, social enterprises, and community-based organizations. In that role, she advised clients on entity formation, corporate governance, 501(c)(3) tax-exempt matters, and nonprofit compliance under New York law.

She also brings an entrepreneurial perspective to her practice through her experience founding and operating multiple businesses, including a fashion company focused on size inclusivity and a hospitality business serving the Long Island and New York communities.

Nnenna received her J.D. from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, where she earned the highest grade in Banking Law. She received her B.S., magna cum laude, in Financial Market Regulation from the University at Albany, State University of New York.
