Partner Leon Sokol Represents New Jersey Legislature in Landmark Third Circuit Decision

Cullen and Dykman LLP is proud to announce that Partner Leon Sokol successfully represented the New Jersey Legislature in the case of Koons v. Attorney General of New Jersey, et al., before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

The Third Circuit ultimately reversed the District Court’s ruling, upholding the New Jersey Legislature’s authority to restrict firearms in sensitive public areas. Through his advocacy, Leon Sokol successfully defended the Legislature’s efforts to balance constitutional rights and public safety. His work was instrumental in securing this important decision, which reinforces the Legislature’s ability to protect vulnerable spaces while adhering to constitutional principles.
