Partner Andrew M. Thaler Presents at Joint Meeting of The Nassau County Bar Association Bankruptcy Committee and Staff of Legal Services of Long Island
June 12, 2025Partner Andrew M. Thaler presented at a joint meeting of the Nassau County Bar Association Bankruptcy Committee and Staff of Legal Services of Long Island on Monday, June 9th. The Volunteer Lawyers Project ("VLP") prompted the meeting and was interested in an educational presentation to their attorneys and staff on basic bankruptcy knowledge to better assist their clients. The presenters discussed topics concerning consumer bankruptcy, including exemptions, automatic stays, discharges, and avoidance actions.
Andrew has been working with the Volunteer Lawyers Project for 35 years, helping to provide pro bono legal services to indigent persons looking to file for Chapter 7 bankruptcy.
