Joseph Spina, Versatile Transactional Attorney, Joins Cullen and Dykman as Partner

Advising on over $50 billion in aggregate deal volume throughout his career, Joseph brings his versatile expertise to further expand the firm’s transactional capabilities in a promising deal market.
Leveraging a wealth of experience, Joseph has been a trusted advisor to global corporations, family and founder owned businesses, investment firms and other blue-chip institutions. He has played a pivotal role in several high-profile matters throughout his career, involving client representations that include the Government of Puerto Rico, Remington Arms Company, Capital One Bank, Franklin Templeton and the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority.
Joseph’s practice focuses on helping companies, including investment firms, grow their businesses through mergers and acquisitions, financings and capital raises. He also has significant experience in the restructuring space, advising companies, lenders and strategic investors on navigating distressed situations – both in and out of court.
Prior to joining Cullen and Dykman, Joseph held a key position at a middle-market private equity firm with roughly $3 billion in assets across various sectors. Preceding that, he was at O’Melveny & Myers, where he was a member of the law firm’s Restructuring Group.
