Distinguished Attorney Deborah N. Misir Joins Cullen and Dykman as Partner, Strengthening Commercial Litigation Practice

Uniondale, NY – Cullen and Dykman LLP, a prominent full-service law firm with a rich history dating back to 1850, proudly announces the addition of Deborah Misir as a partner in its Commercial Litigation department.

Prior to joining Cullen and Dykman, Ms. Misir served in senior leadership roles in federal and local government, most recently as Town Attorney for the Town of Huntington, where she represented and defended the Town of 200,000 people in all legal proceedings and litigation in federal, state, and administrative courts. In addition, Ms. Misir practiced for many years in commercial and employment law at Lally & Misir LLP in Mineola, NY.

Through her private practice, Ms. Misir has provided expert counsel on complex civil and appellate litigation, administrative investigations and proceedings, regulatory compliance, and public policy issues to a wide range of clients, including local government entities, employers, unions and individuals.

Ms. Misir previously served in the Administration of President George W. Bush, notably as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Policy at the U.S. Department of Labor, Ethics Attorney in the White House Counsel’s Office, and Chief of Staff of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

Deborah Misir earned her J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School and her M.A. and B.A. from the University of Chicago. Her commitment to excellence extends beyond her legal career, as she served as a law professor for Touro Law Center and George Washington University Law School and served in the United States Marine Corps.
