Thomas Conn is an associate in Cullen and Dykman’s Construction Litigation practice group. His practice focuses on construction defect litigation, and his team assists clients in the navigation of highly nuanced material related to on-site deficiencies and major project issues. Tommy draws from a decade of technical experience as an engineer in the New York City construction industry to help his team understand and evaluate specialized material.
Prior to joining Cullen and Dykman, Tommy represented immigrants seeking asylum, citizenship and other adjustments-of-status through the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and Executive Office of Immigration Review (EOIR) federal agencies. Before practicing law, Tommy worked as a commissioning engineer, providing high-level quality control on construction projects of every size and type in the New York City area, with emphasis on assuring synchronicity between in-field equipment and centralized human-machine-interface control systems.
While earning his Bachelor in Engineering in Marine Engineering from New York Maritime College at Fort Schuyler, in tandem with a U.S. Coast Guard Third Assistant Engineer’s License for Steam, Motor and Gas Turbine Vessels of Unlimited Horsepower, Tommy gained experience maintaining and operating propulsion, power generation, and auxiliary systems within offshore engineering plants.
