Marna E. Bernstein is a partner in the firm’s Banking & Financial Services department, primarily representing banks and other lending institutions on commercial real estate finance transactions secured by multi-family apartment projects, commercial office buildings, hotels, shopping centers, mixed-use facilities, and on asset-based loans. She counsels clients in structuring, documenting and closing transactions; with regard to loan sales, acquisitions and participations; construction loans, bad-debt restructuring and workouts. In addition to lending transactions, Marna also has experience representing owners of commercial real estate in the acquisition, sale and financing of their assets and projects. Marna’s past experience includes representing lenders in commercial and residential foreclosures and sales of bank-owned real estate.
