Cullen and Dykman LLP is a full-service law firm that has been serving clients since 1850.  We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced senior level attorney to join our thriving Real Estate practice group. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in real estate law, with a particular emphasis on land use and zoning matters. Litigation background a plus. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on complex and challenging projects for a diverse clientele, including developers, landowners, and businesses.

Responsibilities:

  • – Provide comprehensive legal counsel and representation to clients on a wide range of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, sales, leasing, financing, and development projects.
  • – Handle complex land use and zoning matters, including subdivisions, rezoning applications, variances, conditional use permits, and appeals.
  • – Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to identify potential legal issues and develop effective strategies.
  • – Draft and negotiate a variety of real estate contracts, including purchase agreements, leases, and development agreements.
  • – Represent clients in administrative hearings, zoning board meetings, and litigation as needed.
  • – Stay current on relevant real estate, land use, and zoning laws and regulations.
  • – Collaborate with other attorneys and professionals within the firm to provide seamless client service.

Qualifications:

  • – Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and admission to the NY bar.
  • – 4+ years of experience practicing real estate law with a focus on land use and zoning.
  • – Demonstrated expertise in handling complex real estate transactions and land use matters.
  • – Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • – Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • – Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • – Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • – Existing book of business to be discussed.

We offer a competitive salary, an excellent benefits package, and a collaborative, friendly environment. The salary range for this role is $200,000-$250,000. Actual salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.
