Seema Rambaran is an associate in the firm’s Commercial Litigation and Municipal, Zoning, Land Use and Permitting departments. Her practice includes advising clients on federal, state, and local laws related to wage and hour disputes, and claims of discrimination, retaliation, and harassment. Seema works with businesses on matters ranging from contract disputes to business dissolution. Seema also has experience advising educational institutions in matters involving compliance with federal and state laws and regulations governing colleges and universities and advising municipalities on a wide range of legal matters.

Prior to working at Cullen and Dykman LLP, Seema worked for a boutique corporate and securities litigation firm where she represented broker-dealers, registered representatives, public and private companies, and officers, directors and shareholders, in a wide array of commercial litigation, derivative suits, securities litigations and arbitrations, including FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) arbitrations, as well as regulatory investigations and enforcement proceedings.

Seema is experienced in local and international government administration.  She worked for the Borough President of Queens representing constituents in matters related to health and human services.  Seema was also the first Director of Guyana’s Competition and Consumer Affairs Commission, where she developed a framework for investigating potential anticompetitive practices and violations of consumer protection laws.

While attending law school, Seema interned at the United States Federal Trade Commission.  She also served as Student Editor in Chief of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel Law Journal.
