Joseph J. Borges is a partner in the firm’s Trusts and Estates department. He is experienced in all facets of estate administration and routinely represents individuals and banks in trial and appellate litigation involving contested trusts and estates, guardianships, and real estate matters. Joseph has also represented clients before the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund, successfully arguing for increases in his clients’ awards. He also has extensive experience representing individuals and estates in real estate matters outside of the estate litigation context, and he has considerable experience in the areas of elder law, Medicaid planning, and asset protection. Joseph is a principal attorney to the Public Administrator of Kings County.
