John J. Fanning has been with the firm since 1983 and manages the litigation department in Manhattan. John has represented natural gas utilities, interstate natural gas pipelines, contractors, and numerous product manufacturers in civil cases involving premises liability, carbon monoxide poisoning, construction site accidents, fire damage, asbestos exposure, lead-based paint, and automobile accidents. He has also represented clients in cases involving a breach of contract claims, insurance coverage disputes, defense of asbestos exposure claims, bankruptcy proceedings, defense of personal injury, property damage claims, defense of environmental clean-up claims, and condemnation claims. John has represented clients at the trial and appellate levels in federal and state court; and, over the last 15 years, he has focused his practice on defending equipment companies and utilities in asbestos litigation.
